** Diane Piermarini asked our help in finding members of her family. This is her story and her pictures.**
I was wondering if anyone might be able to identify these pictures. It was among my grandmother's belongings. She had two uncles from the Rouses Point area. Alfred Aupry and Oliver Aupry. Alfred lived on Pratt St. Her sister, Orisse Strack, also lived in Rouses Point. I know that this is probably quite a stretch but I am looking for any family info I can find. Others that I have are family portraits taken at "Peerless Studio 54 State St Rouses Point" and one from "Savage, Plattsburg NY"

I am not sure when the attached pictures were taken. My grandmother lived in the area with here uncle Oliver from 1908 until 1918. Her sister lived with her uncle Alfred. I think her sister stayed with his family, never returning to her father. I am looking for her family still in the area. She had a son Alfred Strack, possibly living in Champlain. They were 2 and 4 when their mother died of scarlet fever in Canada in 1908. That is why they went to their uncles. One of my Aunts remembers visiting Alfred in Rouses Point (possibly late 30's early 40's). She remembers him being **"Mayor or something important". She is in her 70's now.

I know bits and pieces. I just learned of Alfred Aupry's existence a few weeks ago. born Nov. 1874 married to Amanda Sequin abt 1900. 1910 census has him living on Pratt St, occupation, blacksmith.

If you would like to contact Diane and supply information about her family please contact Gaines Marina for her email address.
Footnote: Since the posting of this page Diane has been put in contact with Alfred Strack.
**We have subsequently received emails from people who lived in Rouses Point that Alfred (Fred) Aupry was Village Superintendent. Some have referred to his position as superintendent of Public Works in the '40s.
