2010 Boat Parade Of Lights

The annual Dick Gaines Memorial Boat
Parade of Lights was held on July 3rd, 2010.
The parade was organized by
Brad Martin of the
Rouses Point Fire Department.
First place was awarded to Brian Treadwell, of Gaines Marina, in his 28
foot Maine lobster boat, Prince Of Peace II.
Denis Beliveau of Okie Dokie, also of Gaines Marina, finished second.
There's not been a boat parade for 20 years, we are hoping to revive the
tradition.

The Moonlight Lady

The Moonlight Lady from
Vermont Discovery Cruises spends the night at
Gaines Marina on a regular basis. A cruise on the Moonlight Lady is a
great way to enjoy the beauty of Lake Champlain at a relaxed pace. The
Moonlight Lady, replicating a 1920's-era plum stem
inland waterways
cruiser, features 8 cabins each with twin beds, private baths, and
expansive windows affording stunning lake and sunset views. The Sky Deck
is the ultimate location for viewing the lake enjoying good food and the
camaraderie of your shipmates. Join the Captain in the pilot house and
learn of the Champlain region from an experienced navigator. Visit the
open kitchen-our Chef loves company. The Horizon Deck houses 8 private
cabins and outdoor spaces designed for relaxing on the bow and stern.
The
inside oberservation area offers wrap-around windows, ideal for
searching
for Champ, the lake
monster, in any kind of weather. The library/lounge on
the Admiral Deck has a large screen TV for viewing classic movies on
DVD.
Challenge you crewmates to a card game, checkers, chess, or "Scrabble."
